Palestinians: Only a miracle will bring a peace deal by year-end target

The lead Palestinian peace negotiator says only a miracle will bring about a peace deal with Israel by a year-end target.
Ahmed Qureia says the two sides have been discussing all the key issues at the heart of their 60-year conflict. But he says gaps still exist.
Speaking in the West Bank on Wednesday, Qureia said he thinks progress can be made this year. But he says he doesn't think a deal can be reached this year "unless there is a miracle."
Israel and the Palestinians renewed peace talks at a US-hosted summit last November. The sides have set a year-end target for a deal.
