Mostafa Rashid, an imam from Australia who has made controversial comments in the past, was attacked during a discussion on the need of women to wear headscarves, according to The Daily Mail.
Nabh al-Washsh, an Egyptian lawyer, proceeded to beat Rashid with his shoe.

The encounter was broadcast on live TV, shortly after the outbreak staff at the television show rushed into break it up.
According to the Middle East Eye, Rashid left the studio right after the fight ended.
Rashid and al-Washsh both reportedly escaped the fight uninjured, though a crew member was not so lucky.
The shows host played the clip over, apologizing to viewers.
