Renowned cantor and musical artist Azi Schwartz is set to perform with guest singers from New York, Montreal, and Israel – all in support of OneFamily, Israel’s leading organization supporting victims of terror and their families.

OneFamily is hosting “A Concert of Love & Hope” on January 28, 2026, at 6:30 p.m., at the Ohel Ari Community Center in Ra’anana, bringing community members together for an evening of music, unity, and strength.

The concert features acclaimed singer and musician Azi Schwartz, senior cantor at the Park Avenue Synagogue in New York, joined by guest singers from New York, Montreal, and Israel. The program is designed to offer a shared space of uplift and connection – channeling music’s unique ability to hold pain, restore spirit, and help rebuild hope.

OneFamily’s work, critical short and long-term emotional, financial, and rehabilitative assistance to those impacted by terrorism, is a family affair. Schwartz’s mother-in-law, Nechama Prezler, is a psychologist living in Ra’anana, and has been a supporter – and host – of OneFamily groups of bereaved parents for 20 years.

The event brings together hundreds of bereaved parents, families of injured soldiers, volunteers, and donors from the Ohel Ari community. It is also a special opportunity for OneFamily to celebrate this week’s awarding of the Yakir Ra’anana prize to their regional coordinator, Nava Formanski, in recognition of her dedicated work with bereaved families throughout Ra’anana and central Israel for many years.

Evening is about coming together

“We are so thrilled to have the support and beautiful musical talent of Cantor Schwartz, and are excited to come together for something to positive. And the much-deserved recognition of Nava’s tireless work makes the evening even more celebratory,” said Chantal Belzberg, OneFamily’s founding director. “This evening is about coming together, heart to heart, through music that carries comfort, love, and resilience.”

Schwartz has performed on major stages including Carnegie Hall, Madison Square Garden, Citi Field, the UN General Assembly, and the US Capitol, and has cultivated a global online audience with tens of millions of views. His work in Jewish liturgical music is widely known for its warmth and innovation, and he has released more than 18 solo albums.

He returns to the stage in Ra’anana on January 28 for a benefit concert aiding OneFamily. The performance marks his first public appearance following the passing of his father, Yehuda Schwartz, a Yom Kippur War veteran and lifelong educator.

“Returning to the stage for the first time since my father’s passing feels incredibly poignant, especially for an organization like OneFamily. My father, Yehuda, was severely injured in the Yom Kippur War, yet he never let that define him – he chose a life of resilience, building a family and a career in education.

Singing in Ra’anana for an organization that supports victims of terror and war is the most fitting way I can imagine to honor his legacy of strength. Music has always been our way of healing, and I hope this concert brings comfort to the OneFamily community just as it does for me,” he told The Jerusalem Post.
