A Palestinian driver ran into and lightly injured four Border Policemen on Saturday night near the West Bank village of Beit Umar.
An officer shot at the wheels of the vehicle to bring it to a halt, Israel Radio reported.
According to the driver, he had accidentally hit the troops guarding the road when he stepped on the acceleration instead of the brake pedal.
The injured troops were evacuated for medical treatment to Hadassah University Medical Center, in Jerusalem's Ein Kerem.
The incident was being investigated.
