3 SONG AND DANCE The Israel Ballet is staging the world pre- miere of a work based on the beloved op- era Madame Buttery , created in honor of the 30th anniversary of the Israeli Opera House. The ballet, set to music adapted by John Longstaff, is a combination of ballet, opera and orchestra, with original choreography by Bolshoi choreographer Marianna Rizikina.

MUSIC THE SOUND OF SILENCE The Israeli premiere of the chamber opera Baruchs Schweigen (Baruch’s Silence) by Israeli composer Ella Milch-Sheriff will be performed as part of the Israel Music Festival tonight at 8 at the Tel Aviv Museum of Art. The autobiographical opera tells the story of the composer, an Israeli woman who attempts to understand her parents’ silence about their experience during the Holocaust.
6 THE SAME LOVE Israel’s top musicians will perform together at Ganey Yehoshua, Hayarkon Park in Tel Aviv, at a tribute concert to Arik Einstein who died last year. The evening was arranged to- gether with Einstein’s family and will include most of his much-loved songs. Among the artists participating are Avraham Tal, Arkadi Duchin, Berry Sakharof, Josie Katz, Danny Sanderson, Yehudit Ravitz, Yoni Rechter, Mickey Gavrielov and many more.
