THE MARCHING KING
Selma is a touching drama of protest, courage and equality, which has surprised the cinema industry by joining in late for the race to the Oscars. The film tells the story of Martin Luther King, Jr. and his fight for equal voting rights for all via an epic march from Selma to Montgomery, Alabama, in 1965.
2 SINISTER FATE
In the horror/comedy film The Voices, Jerry works at a bath factory. During the day he does everything possible to seem normal; but at night, when he gets home, he has long conversations with his evil dog and cat. GO GAGA
Ohad Naharin, Gaga teachers and members of the Batsheva Dance Company lead a mass Gaga dance class for the public.
Proceeds from the event will be donated to the Association for Civil Rights in Israel.
Gaga, the movement language developed by Naharin, is based on two tracks – one for dancers and one for participants. Gaga is suitable for people of all ages, and no previous experience is required to participate in the class.

TROMBONE WONDERS
The Israel Netanya Kibbutzim Orchestra will host internationally renowned trombonist Christian Lindberg, who will perform as soloist and conductor. Lindberg will present his version of Mozart’s Horn Concerto; Schubert’s Overture in Italian style; Weber’s Symphony No. 1 in C major; and his own composition, Euro- Arctica. At the beginning of the concert, he will be joined by the Brass Ensemble of the Netanya Conservatory.

MEMORY IN FLOWERS
“Mountain of Flowers” is an exhibition of nature paintings in memory of Michael and Adam Fisch. David Harel, the creator of the exhibition, is a multidisciplinary artist, designer and respected painter.
The colorful display presents paintings of flowers and trees growing in the Jerusalem area. Curator: Galit Rossman.

A singular exhibition by artist Francesco Finizio is opening for the first time in Israel.
The exhibition “ARKPARKCRAFTRAFTCLINICCLUBPUB” combines some of the artist’s key works, along with new projects developed in Israel for the occasion. Finizio’s style is minimal by necessity. His realism is both intelligent and simple. Paradoxically, his sophistication is similar to his naivety – like a child’s game.

RIVALRY BOUND TO LOSE
The second concert in the series Ba-Rock Is Laughter. The Ba-Rock ensemble has adapted Pergolesi’s opera La Serva Padrona (The Servant Turned Mistress) and made a scientific version of it – a research assistant becomes the professor’s wife. The play focuses on the relationship between Prof. Uberto, a true geek whose world exists solely in the lab, and his assistant, Serpina, a lovely, lively young woman. A power struggle commences, urges intensify, and the rivalry turns into love.

8 CHILDREN
RARE MUSIC REVEALED
Didgeridoo, berimbau and phantom, which are rare instruments from different cultures around the world, are the stars of a new show for children, The Circle of the Song. These instruments and music will reveal new worlds, cultures and traditions from places such as Australia and Brazil.
The story of Motomba, the African son of a tribal leader, will be told and through him the basics of drumming and African rhythms. The shofar will cap the show.

9 MARCH TO GREEN
Winter is an excellent time to hike along the streams in the North and observe the lush greenery and almond trees. The Green Ofek 2015 March will take place through the Nof Ramot Yissachar route to the Gilboa. Along the route there will be various activities, games, planting of spices, making pita and herbal tea, and wall climbing at the end.
