If you think that killing babies, slaughtering whole families, raping young women, burning down communities, and taking 251 people hostage is exemplary behavior, then you might also agree with UN Special Rapporteur Francesca Albanese that Palestine is the moral compass for the region.

Unashamed to make such a statement, at a recent Al Jazeera conference, one has to wonder if Albanese has any understanding of the concept of good vs evil. Because the suggestion that Palestine represents a moral compass reflects her own broken one.

Also attending were the notorious Hamas leader Khaled Mashaal and Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, who reiterated Albanese’s convoluted notion that Palestine stands as a moral compass, “a test of whether international law has meaning and whether human rights have universal value.”

Sounding the signal to a world that would be well-served to completely ignore Albanese, she took advantage of her platform, provided by the Qatari news media organization, described by Avi Nir-Feldklein, Israel’s European Union Ambassador, as the “Muslim Brotherhood propaganda arm,” to point out that “humanity has a common enemy,” obviously referring to Israel.

Nir-Feldklein asks how Albanese stands alongside the foreign minister of Iran’s terror regime, fresh from killing and executing its own citizens, and alongside a senior leader of Hamas, one of the world’s deadliest terrorist organizations, responsible for the October 7 massacre.

That both Albanese and Araghchi dare to utter such words, acting as if they have any moral high ground, simply confirms the depravity of their own pitiful souls.

The world has forgotten what truth and morality look like

How did they become so hardened to wickedness, unable to identify evil when it stares them right in the face? If nothing else, this is the ultimate indictment, revealing to what depths the UN has sunk. If anyone there had even a drop of integrity, they would renounce what she said and fire her immediately.

But that’s the trouble. The world has forgotten what real truth and morality look like, exchanging it for the likes of corrupt, unscrupulous individuals who are easily bought off for a few pounds of silver, without ever feeling the guilt pangs of a seared conscience.

Devoid of shame, they have desensitized all wrongdoing, making their life choices and evaluations based on what best serves the interests of those to whom they owe their loyalty and allegiance.

Incapable of grasping the great damage done to their own image, they are apathetic to their inhumanity, falsely judging Israel as the villain in this battle of profound evil that seeks to destroy God’s creation.

It's easy to understand how Araghchi got that way, since his 62 years of life were spent in Iran, patterning himself after the mullahs who have held the country hostage for most of that time.

But what about Albanese? How did she end up being the poster child for deception, hypocrisy, and perversion? The 48-year-old Italian-born legal scholar, who claims to be an expert on human rights, lives in Tunisia with her two children and husband Massimiliano Cali, an official of the World Bank.

It seems that her corrupt thinking developed over the course of many years, culminating in allegations of financial misconduct in 2023. Accepting money from organizations that support Hamas, she was accused of violating the UN Code of Conduct for Special Procedures, precluding her from accepting gifts from non-governmental sources.

Her over-the-top antisemitic views seem to be an offshoot of her desire to please her Jew-hating supporters and benefactors – to the point where she even compared Israel to Nazi Germany.

Her personal view that the October 7 massacre was merely a “response to oppression” renders her incapable of being a fair arbiter of what is considered just, honorable, and righteous in the eyes of rational and reasonable human beings.

Her sick contention that “Palestinians have a right to resist oppression” makes her incapable of all objectivity, given that cold-blooded murder of innocent civilians can in no way be justified as a legitimate form of resistance – especially since any oppression suffered by them has come from their own corrupt and evil leaders.

But there have been grave consequences for her controversial positions – one of which was the revocation of her visa, barring her from the US, meaning she cannot even set foot in the UN – which she ironically represents. Additionally, her US assets have been frozen, and she was blacklisted as if she “were a terrorist or drug trafficker.”

“Consequently, all of her transactions involve cash. She cannot receive transfers or donations, collect her salary, or even buy a plane ticket online. She cannot open a bank account anywhere in the world or have a credit card, because she has been placed on the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) list of the US Treasury Department, which targets money laundering and terrorism.”

Although Albanese requested intervention by her home country, given that its leader, Giorgia Melonia – who is a close Trump ally – no assistance has been granted.

Albanese has made herself a pariah, and is responsible for her own undoing. But for someone who longs for the privileges of which she has been stripped, she cannot think that characterizing Palestine, as a moral compass, will be helpful to her cause.

In the end, this is the sad story of a woman who lacks the capacity to judge with any rational or reasoned acumen. Devoid of discernment, or just jaded as a result of unbridled ambition, Albanese is, indeed, paying the price for the folly of provocateur status.

Apparently, resigned to being an outcast, she is the willing abrasive mouthpiece for terror organizations and governments who would like to see a swift end to the Jewish homeland. In that respect, Albanese is a proxy flame thrower, doing the dirty work that others have been too cowardly to take on.

When you think about it, she is nothing more than a useful tool, much in the style of Hezbollah and the Houthis who do the bidding for Iran.
