Should the Hebrew Bible be taught like a foreign language?

Ghil'ad Zuckerman believes the answer to that question is yes, arguing Israelis are incapable of recognizing fine points of aspects and tenses in the Bible.
Shira Leibowitz Schmidt, however, thinks that's a bad idea, arguing if the new Bible translation into everyday Hebrew becomes standard in schools, children will be cut off from the wellsprings of their culture.
