Tel Aviv Museum
A gala event was recently held at the Tel Aviv Museum to inaugurate the building’s new entrance hall and its new experiential Family Center. There to cut the ribbon were: Ron Huldai, mayor of Tel Aviv-Yafo; Tania Coen-Uzzielli, director-general of the Tel Aviv Museum; Suzanne Landau, the outgoing director-general, who oversaw the project; Haim Samet, deputy chairman of the Board of Directors; Shari Arison; Dr. Sharon Nazarian and her mother Suraya Nazarian. The center was named after Suraya’s husband, Yunis Nazarian.
Brain Center
Friends of the Soroka Hospital held a fundraising event last Thursday at Omer Amphitheater to mark the hospital’s 60th anniversary. Over NIS 4 million was raised during the event, which was earmarked for the building of a new neurological department at the Brain Center, which is headed by Gal Ifergane, the chairman of the Brain Medicine department. Maj. Gen. (res.) Johanan Locker, chairman of the Friends of Soroka Association, announced a donation of NIS 1 million from ICL, and Prof. Ehud Dodson, general manager of Clalit, declared that the health fund would match all of the donations collected. Dr. Shlomi Kodesh, the director-general of Soroka thanked all the donors.
Shenkar College
The Shenkar College Board of Governors held an event last Wednesday at the home of board members Dr. Zipi and Yigal Landau. The evening included congratulatory remarks by Shenkar President Prof. Yuli Tamir and chairman of the Board of Directors, Zvi Yemini; and a lecture by Prof. Zvika Eckstein based on his book The Chosen Few: How Education Shaped Jewish History, 70-1492.
Bank Mizrahi-Tefahot
Bank Mizrahi-Tefahot held its annual gala event for select business clients at Hangar 11 at the Tel Aviv Port.  Hosted by Bank CEO Eldad Fresher and manager of the Business Banking Division, Ofir Morad, the guests enjoyed a performance of Ivri Lider and Shiri Maimon. Attending were Victory CEO Eyal Ravid; Albar CEO Oren Elazra; businessman Roni Mana; Direct Finance CEO Eran Wolf; Mivtach Shamir Holdings CEO Meir Shamir; and Shikun & Binui Real Estate CEO Tamir Dagan.

Israeli Wonder Woman Gal Gadot landed in Israel for the launching of international sports fashion brand Reebok’s new collection. Gadot, who was chosen last year to be Reebok’s presenter, arrived at the brand’s store at the Tel Aviv Port last Thursday, where the new Reebok collection was presented by Silvia Tallon, Reebok Israel’s VP of marketing.
