Actress and model Miri Bohadana gives of herself and her finances to needy children and the elderly - especially during the holiday period.
  • ALTHOUGH A prize-winning actor himself, no-one was prouder than Moni Moshonov when his son Michael was named Best Actor at the Ophir Awards ceremony in Tel Aviv last week. It's really unfair to have so much talent in one family. Michael Moshonov's mother is prize-winning actress Sandra Sade, his sister is opera singer Alma Moshonov and his uncle is opera singer Gabi Sade. It will be interesting to see whether these talents will be passed on to future generations of the family.
  • IT'S NOT that Ran Danker hasn't had his fair share of romances since his breakup with Ninette Tayeb. He hasn't spent the past couple of years moping while her relationship with Yehuda Levy, who broke up a five-year liaison with Efrat Boimwald, has remained constant. The problem is that Danker's romances, despite their intensity, don't seem to last long. Perhaps he'll be lucky with the talented young actress who most recently captured his heart. He's currently keeping company with Lital Rosenzweig, with whom he was seen at the Ophir Awards.
  • THE BREAKUP of a doubles act is seldom easy, especially when the people concerned are also married to each other. Apparently when Orna and Moshe Datz were still a couple, there were people who thought that she was his puppet - though anyone paying close attention to their body language or watching her assertiveness on her makeover show (which was launched well before the split) might have thought otherwise. Whatever the case, after the divorce, Orna Datz sought to find herself as an individual and began documenting herself on home video. Enter Gil Riba, who decided to produce the self-discovery documentary, which was screened last Wednesday via Reshet on Channel 2 under the title Orna without Datz. But that wasn't quite a true picture, because although she's running her own life and has become a permanent fixture in the gossip columns, she hasn't reverted to her maiden name, nor changed her name to anything else. She's still Orna Datz, with or without Moshe.
  • ONE OF several celebrities who showed up last week for the launch of the new collection for H&O by designer Galit Levi, who is better known for the bridal wear and the fancy outfits she designs for the rich and the famous, Orna Datz joined other well known figures such as Sandra Ringler, Shelly Gafni, Orly Vainerman, Lihi Alon and Gila Gamliel in applauding Levi's creations.
  • EVER SINCE Steimatzky and Tslil decided to market the CDs of young talents, performers in the early stages of their careers are receiving a springboard to fame and glory. Case in point are the most recent winners of A Star is Born, Carmel Ackman, Libby Biran and Israel Braun, who put out a double album featuring 38 songs, including some with guests Ivri Lider and Yehudit Ravitz. The album, based on some of the most poignant moments in the sixth season of A Star is Born, was released on September 1 and sold enough copies within three weeks to merit a gold CD. In celebration, Steimatzky, Tslil and Teddy Productions (which produces A Star is Born) hosted a reception at the Zappa Club in Tel Aviv. Teddy CEO Tamira Yardeni was on hand, along with the show's host Zvika Hadar, Tslil CEO Micha Yogev and Steimatzky CEO Iris Barel. Also present were adjudicators and other members of the entertainment industry, among them Zvika Pik, Yoav Tsafir and Marina Maximillian Bluman. Yardeni said that it was always exciting to see people come out of nowhere and develop to stars in such a relatively short space of time.
  • ACTRESS AND model Miri Bohadana, who grew up in Sderot in a middle class family, is sensitive to the needs of the less fortunate; she gives of herself and her finances to needy children and the elderly - especially during the holiday period. Bohadana is urging fellow celebrities to do as she does in performing gratis and making cash contributions.
