Mark Regev to stay on as PMO spokesman
HERB KEINON
04/02/2009
Mark Regev, who served as former prime minister Ehud Olmert's spokesman for the international media, will continue in this capacity for Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu. Regev will be working under Ron Dermer, a close Netanyahu confidante who is in charge of communications for the new prime minister and hopes to carry out an overhaul of the country's public diplomacy apparatus. Regev will be working alongside Netanyahu's spokesman, Yossi Levy. Regev was appointed Olmert's spokesman in November 2007, just prior to the Annapolis conference. Prior to that he served for three years as the Foreign Ministry's spokesman, and before that he was for five years the spokesman for Israel's embassy in Washington.
