Hizbullah and Hamas group on Thursday condemned the UN Security Council's latest sanctions on Iran, dubbing them as "unjust."

Hizbullah warned in a statement that the new sanctions "will complicate" matters in the Middle East. The group, which is backed by Iran, said the council was ignoring the "threat to international security and stability" that Israel poses while focusing on Iran's nuclear program.

On Wednesday, The United States and its allies won approval for the toughest measures against Iran for refusing to negotiate on its disputed nuclear program.
