Egypt refuses Israel's request to stop Iranian flotilla
Israel radio reported Friday that authorities in Cairo rejected a request by Israel for Egypt to prevent aid ships from Iran reaching Gaza via the Suez canal.

According to reports from the Cairo newspaper "A-Dar" Egypt turned down Israel's request claiming that it is not possible to prevent the passage of boats through the canal because of international agreements.

The newspaper also reported that Egypt is not willing to prevent aid reaching Gaza while the the blockade is still in place.
