Israel ambassador to Portugal reprimanded for Iran comments

The Portuguese government is conducting an inquiry regarding Ehud Gol, Israel's ambassador to Portugal, after Gol criticized the government for hosting the Iranian foreign minister in Lisbon, Israel Radio reported on Wednesday.

Gol reportedly said that the meeting between Iranian and Portuguese officials sends Iran a dangerous message, and expressed disappointment that European countries have contradicted European Union decisions.
