Livni calls on PM to go ahead with Obama's freeze request

If declaring a new construction moratorium in the West Bank is US President Barack Obama's only request then Israel should go ahead with it, Opposition leader Tzipi Livni (Kadima) told Channel 2 on Saturday.
Speaking on the channel's "Meet the Press" show Livni broke her silence on the issue and said "I am not taking part in the negotiations, but if Obama's sole request from Israel is that it freeze settlement construction, [Prime Minister Benjamin] Netanyahu's answer should be yes.""For me, a moratorium has nothing to do with ideology. What are a few buildings compared with the people's desire for peace?" she continued.
