Police: Electrical fault caused Rehovot fire that killed 6

Police said Tuesday that an investigation into the Rehovot fire that killed six people Monday night, found that the fire broke out because of an electrical failure in an appliance.

Police suspect that an electrical charger caused the blaze.

Emergency services said the victims were a man and his five children, who became trapped in their 1.5-room apartment on the city’s Najara Street.
