Gasoline prices to rise 1.5%
By GLOBES/YOSSI NISSAN
02/28/2013
The price of self-service 95 octane gasoline will rise by 1.53 percent, or NIS 0.12, per liter, to NIS 7.95 per liter at midnight Thursday, the Ministry of Energy and Water Resources announced Wednesday. The full service fee is unchanged at NIS 0.18 per liter.

The price of self-service 95 octane gasoline in Eilat will rise by NIS 0.09 per liter to NIS 7.79 per liter.

The price hike in March was due to the higher global price of oil, which was partly offset by the 0.13% weakening of the shekel against the dollar. The excise accounts for 38% of the retail price of gasoline, VAT accounts for 14%, and the price of oil accounts for 40%.
