A 20-year-old IDF soldier suffered light injuries when he was stabbed in the leg by Arab youths in the Pisgat Ze'ev neighborhood of east Jerusalem on Thursday morning.

According to police, the soldier was approached and attacked by two Palestinians shortly after leaving his home.

He was taken to Hadassah University Medical Center, on Jerusalem's Mount Scopus by Magen David Adom.

Border police were searching the area for the suspects.

Police opened an investigation into the incident. They believe the motive for the attack was a nationalist background.
