Liberman claimed on Twitter that the rumors were “dangerous and inhumane," and said that he would, "utilize the full force of the law against whomever started the rumors.”
Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman took to twitter to announce action against the rumors on Whatsapp that Israel Defense Forces Chief of Staff Gadi Eisenkot had died in the Apache helicopter crash on Monday.

Liberman claimed on Twitter that the rumors were “dangerous and inhumane," and said that he would, "utilize the full force of the law against whomever started the rumors.”

The IDF Spokesperson's office posted on Facebook sending condolences to the family of the pilot, Major (res.) David Zohar, who died in the crash, also stating that the IDF would "conduct a full investigation to the causes of the crash."

Regarding the rumors, the IDF made an official statement that they were baseless and unfounded.

The crash took place during a training exercise and has added to the debate regarding safety inspection procedures in the Israel Air Force.
