Israel, Azerbaijan hold talks on war on terror

Strategic Affairs Minister Avigdor Lieberman met on Thursday with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Prime Minister Artur Rasizadeh and spoke to them about cooperation between the two countries in the war on terror and the possibility of establishing Azerbaijani commercial representation in Israel. The also decided to set up a committee to try and tighten relations between the two countries on issues of energy and hi-tech. Sources close to Lieberman said that 40,000 immigrants from Azerbaijan would be able to receive pensions from the Azerbaijani government. Azerbaijan is scheduled to host Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad for talks next week.
