After finishing last season as Premier League runner-up, Hapoel Tel Aviv is already looking like the biggest threat to reigning champion Maccabi Haifa's title this coming season. Hapoel added Israel international Dedi Ben-Dayan to its squad on Monday, five days after former international midfielder Michal Zandberg joined the club. Ben-Dayan's Maccabi Netanya teammate last season Itai Shechter is also close to joining Tel Aviv, which has already made the most impressive signings of any Israeli club in the summer transfer window. "I played at Hapoel until the age of 16 and now I'm back here at the age of 30," Ben-Dayan said after training at the club for the first time on Monday. "I guess it was something that had to happen sometime." Ben-Dayan's addition to the squad means veteran Hapoel left-back Yigal Antebi is set to leave the club after 10 seasons as a regular starter.
