Israel captain Yossi Benayoun was still a Liverpool player on Tuesday, despite numerous rumors claiming he was on the verge of completing a move to Premier League champion Chelsea.An article in the Independent newspaper said on Monday Chelsea had been “close to agreeing a £5 million deal with Liverpool” to take the 30-year-old from Dimona as a replacement for Joe Cole.However, by Tuesday evening Benayoun was still listed as a member of the Liverpool squad on the club Web site.
