Games We Play: Golf: Alon takes first in AD 120 tourney

Hadassa Alon took first place in the AD 120 retirement center individual Stableford tournament for players of 20-32 handicaps with the score of 41 Stableford points. Dorin Gainsford took second place in the event held at the Ga'ash Golf Club last week with 39 Stableford points. In third place, on 38 points, was Ralph Weiner. The full field of 60 players enjoyed excellent weather and playing conditions. Nearest to the Pin prizes went to Grace Bartour, who came 3.15 m from the pin on hole 4, par 3, 105 meters. On the ninth hole, par 3, 145 meters, was Aliza Ofir, who came 8.10 meters from the pin. The longest drive on hole 5, par 4, 276 meters, was Limor Sidi, who drove 188 meters off the tee. Following the tournament, the prize giving ceremony was held on the balcony of Ga'ash Golf, at the Albatross restaurant. David Deitch, CEO of AD 120, presented the trophies to the proud winners and said that he was looking forward to the "AD 120" autumn tournament for 0-19 handicaps. He also thanked the players for their great support for "AD 120". In the on-going Knock-Out Tournament 2008, Amos Aharoni beat Avi Dekel to take the title in the "A" Division and Moshe Alon beat Alex Okun to win the "B" Division.
