The first qualifying round of the National Net 2008 golf tournament was played at the Ga'ash Golf Club on Monday. The 56 players enjoyed perfect playing and weather conditions. The Ga'ash golfers played great golf and many qualified and are in good positions for the finals to be held at the beginning of 2009. In the "A" Division, veteran golfer Eddie Hoffman had an excellent Net-65. Playing off an 11 handicap, Eddie scored an excellent gross 76, which included a front nine of one over par 36 and came home with a five over par 40. Close behind on Net-69 after also having an excellent round of 72 gross was Ben Friedrich. In the "B" Division Patrick Sa'ada led the field with a Net-68 followed by Mati Geri on Net-73. Aharon Mizrachi on Net-67 and Colin Kessel on Net-71 are the leaders in the "C" Division. The Nearest to the Pin prize went to Asaf Cohen and the Longest Drive for men went to Alex Rudoy and for Ladies to Limor Sidi. Young star Laetitia Beck participated with an extraordinary handicap of +1.
