A record field of 123 players participated in the charity tournament for the NATAL Israeli Trauma Center for victims of terror and war at the Ga'ash Golf Club on Thursday the 23rd of April.
The format was a betterball Stableford competition, 75% handicap. The course and particularly the greens were in excellent condition and the scoring was of a high standard.
The winners in the field of over 60 golfers were Yehoshua Shponder and Moshe Yeheskel with 45 Stableford points. In second place were Alex Rudoy and Tamir Gilat with 43 points. In third place were Brian Cooper and Eddie Shapiro with 40 points.
In the afternoon, among a field of 63, Richard Fogelson and Stanley Stern emerged victorious with 45 points. In second place were Yaakov Har-Oz and Shalom Menora with 42 points and in third were Shmuel Almagor and Roni Mendelman with 40 points.
At the end of the tournaments, a very moving ceremony and cocktail party was held at the Albatross Restaurant at the Ga'ash Golf Club. The Chairperson of NATAL, Judith Yovel Recanati, presented a moving account of the important mission that NATAL provides for the victims of trauma relating to terror and war.
They provide psychological support for citizens and soldiers alike, and they provide a hotline as well as personal one-on-one support.
