Harel Levy and Rajeev Ram were outclassed in the quarterfinals of the men's doubles tournament at Wimbledon on Friday afternoon, losing 6-3, 6-2, 6-2 to number 10 seeds Arnaud Clement and Michael Llodra.
The Israeli/American duo went the entire match without reaching a single break point and was dominated by its opponents throughout the one hour and 25 minute encounter.
Clement and Llodra, who won 53 of 66 points on their serve, hit just seven unforced errors in the match and struck 27 more winners than Levy and Ram (45 to 18).
The Frenchmen won the first game of the match to love and were in the driving seat after breaking in the following game.
The duo quickly wrapped up the set and would take a stranglehold on the match by breaking to love in the fifth game of the second set.
A break in the first game of the third set ended any lingering hope Levy and Ram still had, and the match finished in the same way it began, with a love game for Clement and Llodra.
Also on Friday, Andy Ram's defense of his Wimbledon mixed doubles title ended in disappointing fashion with a straight sets loss in the third round.
Ram and partner Nathalie Dechy, who won the French Open mixed doubles title exactly a month ago, were no match for Marcin Matkowski and Cara Black, losing 6-3, 6-4.
Matkowski and Black needed just a single break in each set to book their place in the quarterfinals, with Ram and Dechy failing to convert any of their four break points.
