Two months after being barred from taking part in the WTA tournament in Dubai and making headlines across the world, Shahar Pe'er is setting her sights on playing in Morocco.
If everything goes to plan the 21-year-old Israeli will play in city of Fes in the Grand Prix de S.A.R. La Princesse Lalla Meryem, which begins on April 27.
Israel and Morocco first established diplomatic relations in 1994, but the relations were suspended by the Moroccans in 2000 following the escalating violence between Israel and the Palestinians.
Nevertheless, Israelis have since continued to travel to the country and it seems likely that Pe'er will be able to participate in the tournament in Fes, especially as the organizers will want to avoid the uproar which followed the Israeli's exclusion from the Dubai championships in February.
