Shahar Pe'er qualified for the third round of the French Open on Thursday afternoon after beating Romanian Edina Gallovits (106) 6-4, 6-1 at Roland Garros.
Pe'er, who cruised to victory in her first match against Estonian Kaia Kanepi on Wednesday, again succeeded in not dropping a set and defeated her Romanian opponent after an hour and ten minutes.
Pe'er, who is ranked No. 17 in the world and seeded 15th at Roland Garros, will meet 17th seed Slovenian Katarina Srebotnik in the next round.
If Pe'er overcomes Srebotnik, she is expected to meet third seed Svetlana Kuznetsova in round 4.
