Adrien Brody is an American actor best known for his starring role in the movie The Pianist. Brody often plays artistic or intellectual-type characters, or characters that suffer from mental illness. In The Pianist, he drew on his mother and grandmother’s experiences of losing members of their family to the Holocaust.
One advantage for English speakers of seeing a movie at a film festival is that they show films with English titles, unlike the theater chains, which only offer subtitles occasionally.
