Settler youth arrested by police for exposing top officer

Youth is accused of posting online video that expose the head of the Shin Bet's Jewish Division; teenager reportedly denies suspicions against him.

A teenager from a northern West Bank settlement was arrested by Judea and Samaria police on Thursday on suspicion of filming the head of the Shin Bet's Jewish Division and distributing the footage on Youtube.
In the clip, the official's name and position are spelled out at the top of the screen, and he is seen getting into a vehicle.

It is a criminal offense in Israel to expose Shin Bet employees.
A police spokesman told The Jerusalem Post that the minor is also suspected of shouting threats at the official while filming him.
"He was detained, questioned, and then released. He has been invited for further questioning at the Hebron police station," the spokesman added.
The Honenu legal assistance organization, which provides representation to right-wing activists, said the youth denied the suspicions against him during questioning.
Security personnel believe far-Right elements are systematically harassing them as retribution for enforcing policies that confound the Greater Israel ideology.
A small number of right-wing activists activists have attempted to circumvent national legislation using global web communications tools such as Youtube.
