Firefighters finally succeeded in containing a forest fire Tuesday morning, which had been blazing on the Carmel slopes since Monday.
Over 20 squads of firefighters were battling the wildfire on the Carmel between Kibbutz Oren and Tirat Hacarmel.
As of Monday, the fire had already consumed some 1,000 dunams of growth.
