Police detained three youths from Bat Ayin between the ages of 12 and 13 on Sunday for their alleged role in the firebombing of a Palestinian taxi two weeks earlier.
In the attack, a Molotov cocktail was thrown at a car carrying six Palestinians in the West Bank, injuring all six, including two children.
The suspects were scheduled to be brought before the Jerusalem Magistrate's Court for their remand hearing on Sunday.
Halevi, the lawyer from the NGO "Honenu" that is defending the
suspects, said "we are witness in recent months to dozens of detainments
and investigations that have ended without (yielding) anything while
violating the conditions of imprisonment for those detained."
Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu stated in the aftermath of the attack, "This is a very serious incident." We will do everything we can to catch those responsible and bring them to justice."
and Samaria Commander Brigadier General Hagai Mordechai added that the
incident could compromise security and stability in the West Bank.
