Most of theparticipating kids are already enrolled in Meir Panim's after-schoolclubs all year round and really look forward to going to camp. “Duringthe months of July and August, thousands of children enter the summerbreak and dozens of families can’t afford to send their child to summercamp,” said Racheli Ibenboim, Director of Meir Panim.
The costof sending a child to summer camp can range anywhere from 500 to 2,500NIS. “Free of charge, Meir Panim summer camps offer fun, educationaland values-centered activities for the children in a relaxed andsupportive setting" she said.
The children enjoy special workshops in areas such as music, wildernesssurvival and archeology. They also engage in fun activities such ascarnivals, magic days, and much more. This year, camps are beingoffered in Jerusalem, Or Akiva, Dimona, Yerucham, Kiryat Gat, Tiberias,Acco and Kiryat Melachi throughout the month of July from 8 a.m. until5 p.m. daily. Registration is completed through the local welfareservices.
