Israel to sign research accord with Canada

Heads to facilitate, promote and support international research collaboration between Israeli and Canadian universities.

The Association of University Heads of Israel is expected to sign an agreement on Monday with The Association of Universities and Colleges of Canada “to facilitate, promote and support international research collaboration between Israeli and Canadian universities.”
The signing, which will take place in the presence of University of Calgary President Prof. Elizabeth Cannon, Principal of Queen’s University in Ontario, Prof. Daniel Woolf and Tel Aviv University President Prof. Joseph Klafter.
A delegation of Canadian university presidents is currently visiting Israel with the goal of “deepening scientific relations between the two countries.”
The delegation is jointly sponsored by the Israel Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Canada’s Center for Israel and Jewish Affairs.
