There are rising tensions between the US and Iran, as the Trump administration has increased economic sanctions against the Islamic Republic over the past week, and moved aircraft carriers to the Persian Gulf.

Iran has responded to the military build-up in the region by declaring the US doesn’t dare attack for fear of provoking an Iranian assault on Israel.

Despite the recent US military buildup in the Middle East, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo claimed that the US is not aiming for war with Iran.
