IDF Chief of Staff Lt.-Gen. Gadi Eisenkot visited Gaza border on Wednesday following two weeks of escalated tensions between Israel and Gaza.

Eisenkot visited two terror tunnels that were destroyed by the Israeli army in recent months.

The chief of staff then conducted a joint assessment with the head of the Southern Command Maj.-Gen. Eyal Zamir, the head of the IDF's Gaza Division Brig-Gen. Yehuda Fuchs, Colonel Kobi Heller, the commander of the IDF’s Southern Gaza Brigade and Commander of the Northern Gaza Brigade Col. Avi Rosenfeld.
