Security forces arrested a Palestinian teenager at the Kalandiya junction in the West Bank after she was detected wielding a knife and calling out jihadii slogans.

Border Police noticed a 16-year-old Palestinian girl nearing their position junction with a knife and proceeded to arrest her.

Investigation into the incident revealed the girl had intended to carry out an attack against Jews.

Last weekend, security forces arrested a 17-year-old Palestinian girl found to have a knife in her possession at the Cave of the Patriarchs in Hebron.

The knife was revealed during routine security checks. Police said initial investigations indicated that she had planned to stab security personnel.
