Security cameras captured a terror attack Saturday where one soldier was lightly wounded. The soldier wrestled with the terrorist to the ground while three others shot and killed the assailant.
The soldier was treated for his wounds at the scene and taken to hospital for further treatment.
The video shows the terrorist approaching the soldier and handing him a piece of paper before drawing a concealed knife.
The terrorist then lunges, cutting wildly, attempting to stab the soldier.
The terror attack occurred in the Hebron neighborhood of Tel Rumeda Saturday morning during a security check. The Palestinian arrived at the checkpoint and offered a piece of paper, not identity forms, which drew suspicion among the soldiers.
The Palestinian man, Hatem Abed al-Hafiz Shaloudi, aged 25 was killed by Israeli forces.
Reached for comment after the event, Hatem's family said "The army executed him in cold blood."
His brother, Aymen, said to Palestinian media that his brother worked at a factory in Hebron, and was supposed to start his shift at seven in the morning. Aymen added the IDF searched the house and left.
The deadly event Saturday morning comes following four separate Palestinian attacks over the weekend.
On Friday a soldier was lightly stabbed in the face, before soldiers shot and killed the assailant. A separate incident also occurred when a suspected terrorist of Jordanian nationality tried to stab police officers at the Damascus Gate in Jerusalem later in the day.
