ACA head Micha Yinon resigns

After 12 busy, dedicated and effective years at the helm of the Arts and Culture Administration, Micha Yinon announced his retirement, which was effective August 1. In a letter he wrote to the country's cultural institutions, Yinon praised their diversity, accessibility, excellence and cooperation with his office. Yinon (b. 1942) was trained as a lawyer. He was head of the IBA from 1984-88 and 1992-95, and has also been a member of the governing body of such institutions as the Israel Philharmonic and Bar-Ilan University.
