Theater festivals announce winners

The big winner at the Haifa Children's Theater Festival was The Wanderings of Gilgamesh by Gideona Raz that won Best Production.

At the annual TheaterNetto monodrama festival that ended Monday night, Lior Zohar won the NIS 10,000 Nissim Azikri Prize for his performance of Jacob's Son by Galia Be'eri and directed by Sarit Vino-Elad. Honorable Mention went to Karin Kurt for Lulu - Auschwitz Adventure by Kurt and her director, Shlomi Golan. Meski Shibaru won the NIS 5,000 first prize for Ephraim Sidon's Battle No. 1 on the River Kishon in the first Children's TheaterNetto, for which five plays competed. Ten plays were in competition for the Adult TheaterNetto. The big winner at the Haifa Children's Theater Festival that also closed on Monday was The Wanderings of Gilgamesh by Gideona Raz that won Best Production, worth NIS 25,000, and Best Director for Norman Issa. Best playwright went to Gil Czernowitz for Flower of a Myth, and Best Actress went to Efrat Aviv for Luna. There were six plays in competition.
