Drone and missile attacks continued to strike the Gulf over the weekend, targeting critical infrastructure in Kuwait, Oman, and the UAE, while also wounding US troops in Saudi Arabia.

Also on Saturday, a drone fell in Iraq's Majnoon oil field, but did not explode, according to the country's Defense Ministry.

Kuwait International Airport was subjected to several drone attacks on Saturday, according to the state news agency KUNA.

Citing Kuwait's civil aviation authority, the report stated that the attack caused "significant" damage to the airport's radar system. No injuries were reported.

The attack in Kuwait followed a drone attack on the Salalah port in Oman on Saturday, injuring a worker and damaging a crane, according to Oman's government. Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps claimed the attack targeted a US support vessel, a "considerable" distance away from the port.

In addition, six people were injured earlier on Saturday after three fires broke out in Abu Dhabi as a result of debris falling from a ballistic missile interception, the emirate's media office said.

All three fires have been controlled, and the cooling process is underway.

Abu Dhabi authorities were dealing with fires in the vicinity of Khalifa Economic Zones Abu Dhabi (KEZAD), part of Abu Dhabi's AD Ports Group, as well as economic cities and free zones.

Iranian attack wounds 12 US soldiers at airbase in Saudi Arabia

Iranian missiles struck the Prince Sultan US military base in Saudi Arabia on Friday, damaging several refueling aircraft, The Wall Street Journal reported. 

According to the WSJ report, which cited American and Saudi officials, the attack was confirmed using open-source imagery and data circulating online, with the attack also involving drones.

Citing a US official, Reuters reported 12 US soldiers were injured during the attack, with two of them in critical condition.

Thursday attack in Abu Dhabi kills two

Debris from an intercepted missile killed two in Abu Dhabi on Thursday after falling on Sweihan Road, the emirate's media office said on X/Twitter.

Three others were injured in the attack, and several vehicles were damaged.

The attack involved both missiles and drones, according to the military's statement.
