Army Radio and the Cameri Theater will give soldiers a chance to get a taste of the best of local culture on Friday. Between 9 and 11 a.m. the radio show "Bilui Naim im Muli Shapira" (A Fun Excursion with Muli Shapira) will hand out 300 Cameri season tickets to uniformed soldiers plus an additional 1,200 tickets to various shows. The Cameri's actors will take part in the big hand-out, which will take place from three broadcasting stations around the country: the Tel Aviv Central train station, the Bat Galim Navy base in Haifa, and an engineering base in Kerem Shalom near the Gaza border. Shapira, head of the culture and music department at Israel Radio, stated: "This is the seventh time Israel Radio and the Cameri Theater are distributing free tickets to soldiers... it is yet another demonstration of Israel Radio's desire to encourage the appreciation of culture and Israeli theater among soldiers." Shapira's show can be heard on 102.3, 104 or 96.6 FM. It can also be heard over the Internet at www.glz.co.il.
