1. SEEKING A FRIEND
Dark comedy. As an asteroid heads toward Earth, a man finds himself alone after his wife leaves in a panic.
He decides to take a road trip to reunite with his high-school sweetheart.

2. VERY PASSIONATE
Acclaimed flamenco dancer and choreographer Ornili Azoulay will premiere her latest work as part of the Hot Dance Festival.
Spanish Passion is a personal, poetic and sensual journey into Spanish dance, accompanied by classical texts and music.

3. MARKET DAY
The Port Market celebrates Tuesdays with activities for the kids, with storytelling, street shows, puppets, music and stalls with ice cream, hot corn-on-the-cob and more between 5:30 and 8:30 p.m. Later in the evening, the stalls will offer many other summer specials. Every Tuesday evening throughout the summer.

4. BREAK BREAD
Eleven blind and deaf actors at the Nalaga’at Center will take you on a moving journey into their world, while baking bread (which they serve at the end of the play). The acclaimed show Bread Alone, which has toured the world, is a performance that might really change one’s world.

5. SEEING DOUBLE
The new exhibition at the Tikotin Museum of Japanese Art and the Haifa Museum of Art, entitled “Double Vision,” consists of two parts – “imaginary” and “real” – providing a view of opposing facets of contemporary Japanese society through the eyes of 30 artists of different generations. The exhibition marks the 60th-anniversary celebration of diplomatic relations between Israel and Japan.
The exhibition is rich in material that can shake up the concept of dualism and create a space where reality is inseparable from the imaginary.

6. RAISE YOUR GLASSES
The music festival at Kfar Blum has added a few rock shows to its otherwise classical program.
Tislam, the popular 1980s Israeli rock ’n’ roll group, reunites for an open-air concert at the Harei Galil Winery. Great music, wine and fresh fruit stalls await the audience.

7. HI-TECH FUN
Sama Sama Park at the Eretz Israel Museum is an Israeli start-up, a new technological development that allows visitors to create their own sight-and-sound show as they play instruments designed for that purpose.
Laser beams that produce sounds, playing tablets, underwater instruments and electrifying lights are all part of this hi-tech amusement park. You have to see – and hear – it to believe it. An adventure for the senses.

8. DOWN TO EARTH
Next week at the Hot Dance Festival, there will be another interesting premiere – Arkadi Zeides: Land-Study, an artistic insight into the personal views of five performers who come from different backgrounds in an attempt to discover their ideas about such themes as land, origin and the Earth.

9. VERY ORGANIC
The annual organ marathon at the Augusta Victoria Church hosts internationally renowned violinist Alexei Bershavitz (pictured) in a concert with Alexander Rosenblatt on harpsichord and The Jerusalem Festival Orchestra. The program will include Paganini’s Moto Perpetuo, Albinoni’s Adagio, Bach’s Concerto No. 2 for two violins and other beloved pieces.

10. SCOTS ATTACK
DJ Hudson Mohawke, the Scotsman some call a genius, will land here on August 3 to add international sizzle to the already hot Tel Aviv electro-music scene, a few days before the release of his much-awaited album. An impressive lineup of local artists will open and close his show.
