2. MAKE LOVE
The Making Art/Loving Art festival graces the streets of Tel Aviv for a onenight event of art and dance.
The happenings will be divided into two programs: Loving Art will host artists in public spaces, and Making Art invites audiences into artists’ studios. This year, Loving Art will host a selection of local choreographers. All the performances will take place outdoors in various unusual locations throughout the city. In addition, galleries will be open late, inviting passersby to take a gander.Loving Art takes place tonight from 7 to 11.
Making Art will run through the weekend in studio and gallery spaces around the city.

3. FOR THE LOVE OF ART
“121 Reasons to Love Art” is a group show that opens as part of the Loving Art event in Tel Aviv. A hundred and twenty-one artists take part in the exhibition, among them veteran and newcomers, offering select pieces at reduced prices.

Jethro Tull’s Ian Anderson hasn’t lost his touch as a consummate showman and entertainer. His shows this weekend are not Tull performances per se but Anderson leading his band through the entire 1972 concept album Thick As a Brick and its 2011 sequel.

7. CHANT THE PIYUT
The Piyut Festival of liturgy-oriented music based at Jerusalem’s Beit Avi Chai returns with a rich lineup. It includes Ehud Banai and Kobi Aflalo; jazz saxophonist Daniel Zamir; and Jewish New York blues-infused rock guitarist-vocalist Jeremiah Lockwood and his Sway Machinery band. Concerts will take place at various locations across Jerusalem, such as the Yellow Submarine, the Gerard Behar Center, the National Library, Zappa Club and Hazira, the Interdisciplinary Arena.

A new exhibition of the leading mosaic artists in Israel opened at Masada, setting new horizons for the ancient art form. 10. CELEBRATE THE HOLIDAY SEASON
“Tasting the holidays” is a new exhibition presented at the Acre Otzarot Bahoma Museum, inside the eastern wall of the Old City of Acre, which displays rare collections of Ottoman treasures from the late 1800s. The current exhibition focuses on nostalgic symbols of the High Holy Days, such as Rosh Hashana greeting cards, Simhat Torah flags and succa decorations.From Monday until December 31.
