The Negev town of Arad will host a tribute to Israeli song over three days with musical performances of all types and from all times as part of the "Song is in the Air" festival. The shows will be scattered throughout the city in open-air venues, with entry free of charge. Participating performers include Keren Peles, Kobi Aflalo, Ruti Navon and Leah Shabat, along with klezmer musicians and choirs from around the country. The opening event on August 25 will be a salute to the 30th anniversary of the song "Hallelujah," featuring composer Kobi Oshrat and the Milk and Honey (Halav U'dvash) band. In addition to the musical festivities, Song is in the Air will also include a photo exhibition at Arad's museum, tours of nearby wineries, trips through the artists' quarter, a sound and light show at Masada and guided excursions to Tel Arad and the Yatir Forest.
