Television host Dick Cavett, writer and activist Elie Wiesel, Actor Paul Giamatti, and actor John Turturro will appear at the 2012 Forum Film Festival October 19-25 at Fordham Law School and HBO, along with New Yorker film critic David Denby, filmmaker Eugene Jarecki, actor David Strathairn and Judge Denny Chin.
The seven-day festival features screenings followed by discussions with well-known guests who will explore how the themes of justice and injustice continue to inspire the artistic imagination.
“The Forum Film Festival offers an exciting mix of current blockbusters, classic favorites, documentaries, and independent movies,” said Thane Rosenbaum, the John Whelan Distinguished Lecturer in Law at Fordham Law School and Forum director.
“These films illuminate the legal system with all of its triumphs, failures, moral dilemmas, and dramatic moments,” said Rosenbaum.

The event opens October 19 with a screening of the HBO miniseries John Adams, and continues with The House I Live In, The Truce, Good Night, and Good Luck, Clockers, and Duck Soup. The Festival concludes with the Forum Short Film Competition screening and awards.
