Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas is under pressure from European and Arab countries not to submit a resolution condemning settlements to the UN Security Council, Palestinian news source Qudsnet reported on Thursday.

The news site wrote that Abbas "recently received a series of phone calls from Arab and European countries urging him to back off from the UNSC condemnation, for fear of an American veto."
