Deputy Foreign Minister Danny Ayalon said on Wednesday that Turkey would remain a partner of Israel and that relations between the two countries would not change, despite Israel's displeasure over "the rhetoric in Ankhara."
Ayalon clarified that he had always opposed Turkey's involvement as a mediator in negotiations between Israel and Syria, stating that "Damascus is fooling everybody. The Syrians may speak of peace, but they are warmongers."
