Ban Ki-moon gives 'full support' to Hariri tribunal

UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon gave his "full support" on Wednesday to the Hariri tribunal investigating the assassination of the former Lebanese prime minister, AFP reported.

A spokesman said that Ban "emphasizes the importance that calm be preserved. The secretary general further calls for continuing dialogue among all parties and respect for the constitution and the laws of Lebanon. He reiterates his full support for the independent work of the Special Tribunal for Lebanon," according to the report.
