Defense Minister Ehud Barak praised outgoing head of Military Intelligence Maj.-Gen. Amos Yadlin at Sunday's cabinet meeting, saying that Israel's intelligence service had taken great leaps forward under his stewardship.

Yadlin was scheduled to be replaced this month by Brig.- Gen. Aviv Kochavi.

Barak thanked Yadlin for his forty years of service in the IDF and wished him luck going forward.
